REALITIES OF TODAY

          The peculiarities of today might not be a necessity tomorrow. This notion is implying that as time flies; tendencies for changes might sets in, influencing happenings and events in a particular locality. Although, it might be/not totally be a conscious effort that leads to the scenario but it is the subjective actions and reactions that forms the basis of these notion.

          Globally, happenings in positive and the negative sense are different from location to location. Thus, the witch hunting a particular location might necessarily not be the source of worry in another nation even within the same continent/region. In short, realities can be presumed from the unit of analysis i.e. people or group involved.

As interconnectedness and interdependent as this global village is, realities in the global north are not the exact realities of the global south. Economically, some nations occupy the top echelon dictating the affairs of the world,  some at the bottom while some bridging the gap between the top and bottom. Some nations of today enjoy powerful central authorities which makes declarative statements that forms the rationale of actions of other nations.

Nevertheless, no matter how the society is been structured it therefore has its own peculiarities – realities from any angle of analysis. Bearing in mind there is no crime free society, the issues are so rampant that they cannot be left unattended to for a safer and continuing existence of human species. Such breathtaking issues are; gun control, terrorism, corruption, homosexual marriage, illegal trafficking (human and material), human right abuse to mention but a few.

Having highlighted the realities, it is therefore of utmost priority to detail it has it happen at a particular place in time as well as proffer a workable solutions to the menace.
